This month’s salary is going to the Great Yarmouth Community First Responders. They’re a volunteer team who work with the ambulance service and turn out to the serious stuff – cardiac arrests, heart attacks, anaphylaxis, the lot.
They’re all trained to deal with adults and children, and control sends them out at the same time as the ambulance. Because they’re based right here in the community, they often get there first and can start proper life-saving work straight away.
The money will go on defibrillator kit and other equipment they need.
Ordinary men and women giving up their spare time to help the rest of us. Proper work. Really glad to support them.
